As an artist, she has several international exhibitions and awards for her photographs and paintings, such as her inclusion in “The 100 Book” of the best 100 Photographs in Colombia and “The best ten Latin-American artists” exhibit in New York, 2012.

Cuban-born Bronxite Alexis Mendoza is an interdisciplinary artist, independent curator, and author.
