Abelardo Molina, 1949. Sculptor, direct carving in wood. Figurative, abstract and conceptual surrealist work of social criticism. Inspired by transcendental events of all kinds that have or not a direct relationship with his life and the time in which he has lived. His art is structured in the composition and modification of the form by different planes on smooth surfaces, conditioned to a sensual line based on a balance that can be symmetrical or asymmetrical, where the predominance of this line draws and models the piece and is modified in various tactile textures, conditioned by the laws of aesthetics. Religion in general, nature, fish, the sea, women, their sensuality, eroticism, sexuality and motherhood, are his inspiration. All of this is dealt with in his series. In particular, his series of aquariums stands out for simulating the environment based on three basic textures: coral, reef and shoal.
