Francisco Paz y Miño
Artist

Henry Cartier-Bresson said, “Photographing is placing the head, the eye and the heart on the same axis”. Francisco Paz y Miño (Quito 1985) fits this quote from one of the great geniuses of Photography like a glove.

The work of this photographer stands out for that fantastic curiosity that he demonstrates for “light” as the main tool of this profession, which is evident in the different surroundings of the photography he works with. Trained at the Universidad San Francisco de Quito, he consolidated his photography studies, then moved to Madrid in 2009 to take a Master’s degree in Advertising and Fashion Photography at the TAI School, where he combined his training with his first professional productions in the field of Fashion and Advertising, publishing editorials in avant-garde media such as Looc and DxI.

In his work can be found from professional editorials such as the aforementioned to landscape reports, going through a wide range of topics, all of them treated with a careful look. Highlighting that personal touch so characteristic in his work with people is that, whether it is models or disparate characters, he looks for images that are powerful, revealing what is special about the person in front of him without resorting to external theatrics . Only light, atmosphere and face. They are images that transmit. One of these images is a female nude selected for the “Nude” Exhibition (TAIBox Madrid Jan-Apr.2010), her first collective exhibition.
