Josue Toriz Garcia’s work shows a diversity of themes based on the figurative style and seeking to represent the deepest ideas. Experiences, thoughts, introspective works, everyday objects, and portraits are some of his proposals as an artist, seeking neatness and realism in each one of his strokes.
Toriz Garcia began his artistic career in a professional way in 2015 as a professor of portrait workshops at the “Academia de San Carlos” of the Faculty of Arts and Design at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He has studied various techniques of the visual arts such as acrylic, pastel, airbrushing, oil, charcoal, among others. He has shown his work in various exhibitions at galleries and art venues throughout his career. Artist, draftsman, painter, portraitist, and workshop artist, he has shared his knowledge in art workshops and universities, as well as in his own art workshops at his studio, transmitting to the students his taste for realistic and figurative art, taking as a premise: “Drawing is the basis of everything.”
