Mariojosé Ángeles is a Dominican visual artist, curator, and researcher, with more than 30 years and recognized local and international career. In 1982, he began his architecture studies at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD). He exhibited for the first time at the Dominican-American Institute in 1988. After his outstanding exhibition “Caribbean Icons” (1997), at the Regional Archaeological Museum of Altos de Chavón, he was chosen by the selection jury “Great and Young Today” in Paris. He resided for 9 years in the city of Brussels. His works are part of public and private collections in the European continent. Mariojosé works in various disciplines: painting, drawing, photography, installation, sculpture, digital art, graphic design, video, drones.
